UPDATE 12:12 p.m. — Friendly Market property, seized during a 2015 investigation, still hasn’t been returned, but the issue moved closer to a conclusion today at the Oklahoma State Supreme Court in Oklahoma City.

According to Friendly Market attorney Blake Lynch, a hearing took place today to determine whether the writ would continue to make its way through the Supreme Court. The issue at stake is whether the glass pipes are lawful to be returned following ‘not guilty’ verdicts against store owner Robert Cox and former manager Stephen Tyler Holman.

“The referee will prepare a memo, and send it to the justices which they’ll review in conference on either Sept. 11 or 18,” Lynch said.

We will keep everyone updated with any new developments in our legal battle as well as our plans to re-open the store in Norman.
